iostudio won Gold (and more!) at the 2016 American Advertising Awards on Feb. 27 in Nashville.

At the annual gala event, iostudio took home some of the top honors, winning a Gold Award for publication design for an article in GX: The Guard Experience magazine called “Selma: A March That Moved Mountains,” as well as two Silver Awards for video production for videos for two of our clients: Hillsdale College’s video celebrating the Kirby Center’s five-year anniversary and MARSOC’s video titled “Ground Warfare Training.”

iostudio capped off the night by winning the 2016 Judge’s Choice Award for Diversity for “Selma: A March That Moved Mountains.”

A great night was had by all and this year's theme, “The RADDYs,” was a ton of fun. For some great pictures of the night’s festivities, check out the AAF Nashville Flickr.

Happy Anniversary to the Kirby Center!

Our client, Hillsdale College, is celebrating the five-year anniversary of its Washington, DC-based Allan P. Kirby, Jr. Center for Constitutional Studies and Citizenship. The mission at the Kirby Center is to educate students and elected officials about the Constitution and its underlying principles of liberty.

To mark the occasion, iostudio created a film—we planned the video’s concept, directed and filmed new footage and interviews, and edited the final piece. We think it’s pretty great.

Nashville’s iostudio Named 2015 Design Team of the Year

The GX Magazine Team

iostudio received Design Team of the Year honors at the 2015 Folio: Eddie & Ozzie Awards annual luncheon, held Oct. 19 in New York City. The Folio: Eddie & Ozzie Awards competition, presented by Folio: Magazine, is the magazine industry’s largest competition that encompasses consumer, business-to-business and custom publications in digital and print, honoring editorial and design excellence for more than 20 years. The annual contest attracts entries from many of the nation’s top publications, including Time, National Geographic, People, Food & Wine, and Entertainment Weekly. This year’s competition drew more than 2,800 entries and was judged by a panel of more than 300 industry experts.

In addition to the overall Design Team of the Year award, iostudio and GX received honorable mentions in six editorial and design categories: Editorial Team of the Year; Best Editorial, full issue, custom publication (6 or more issues); Best Series of Articles, custom publication; Best Overall Design, full issue, custom publication (6 or more issues); Best Cover, custom publication; and Best Feature Design, custom publication (6 or more issues).

iostudio was the only finalist in both the overall Design Team of the Year and Editorial Team of the Year categories at this year’s show. This is also the third straight year that iostudio was a finalist in the category of best overall issue in both editorial and design categories.

iostudio Unwavering in Commitment to Secure IT Infrastructure

iostudio has once again exceeded industry standards by obtaining the highest possible rating on its total security assessment score.

Conducted by veteran-owned company AxiosTec, the assessment highlighted iostudio’s strengths in organizational risk management, people, processes and technology. The assessment was prompted by iostudio’s long-standing partnership in digital and video solutions with the U.S. Army National Guard, and was designed to assess the general framework recommended by the Corporate Governance Task Force.

AxiosTec’s assessment revealed “iostudio has a high awareness to security and utilizes IT practices functionality with the development and delivery of software with security awareness.”

iostudio will continue its commitment to lowering risk with enhanced training, stringent risk mitigation plans, and consistently updated policies and procedures.

“An integral piece of enterprise-level development success is a vigilant dedication to security,” said Andy Blenkle, iostudio president. “We consider receiving this rating to be as important as any creative award we have ever won.”
